Smile Rolling Rolling Keep That Baby Rolling

10,100 miles and rolling right along. Great on oil. Great on tires. Good oil analysis coming back. Over 20 mpg. Love this truck. What else could a redneck ask for?

Just wondering what oil you are using. I assume you are posting about a 6.0. Will do first service soon and am planning on sticking with Rotella 15w-40.

As long as you use API rated CI-4 it's ok. Do a search on oil change and read. It will take a while. You could help us out here 5moons, by measuring the oil that drains from your pan. Only replace that much and let us know how much oil came out.

Don't forget to loosen the oil filler tube cap and the oil filter before draining the crankcase so that all the oil that will drain out.

Upi might also consider installing a Fumoto valve. http://fumotovalve.com/

Why? The valve is well protected by suspension in front.

They are entitled to their opinions, does not mean it is the way to go.
This valve is used across this country by many in the diesel industry.

gotten used to the predator
need MORE POWER :-) (just call me Tim Allen :-)

re the fumoto valve...
Just like all of us, they ARE entitled to their opinions...
no matter how wrong they are

Just depends on the type of driving u do if the valve is right for u...

From what I have seen most Ford tech's won't offically agree / endorse any mods outside of SOP.

From their point of view I can't say that I blame them. CYA.

Excellent point, and one I have forgot…I have never known one that did.

I read something on the flatrate forum that made me believe that a Ford technician can lose their certification if they endorse anything that's not the "party line".

With all that has been written about the 6.0 I could believe that!
Sad but true
If I were Ford it would be that way
