Question Tire Recommendation

Just bought a used 2001 F-150 4X2; six-cylinder, manual trans., and need a new set of tires. Any suggestions recommendations for the best brand/model, particularly for handling some ugly New Jersey winters? Thanks, and sympathies accepted.

If you drive on the road a lot and deal with snow, I'd go with BFG All Terrains. There is also a forum farther down the page that deals directly with tires, you might get more input there.

I personally like the BFG Long Trail T/A's. they last a long time and are quiet. The tread is not as aggresive as the All-Terrains and would work better on a 2wd. I have them on my 4x4 and they do just fine.
