2 04's Problems
I know of 2 04 F 350 6.0 diesel that have problems.Please help the owners looked to me for answers.One is a build date 10-03 Crew cab torque shift Stock motor 3400 miles and it stalls randomly right before it stalls it POURS and I mean POURs blue smoke out exaust pipe- with dissapearing oil on the dip stick and then takes 15-20 seconds of cranking to start-dealer can't duplicate problem! the Seccond is a friends dads it has a biuld date of 2-04 with 2700 miles on it.It turns over starts then immedately dies, starts then immidately dies and then starts and runs poor- with shaking and Service engine soon light on then this AWFUL sqeeling from the turbo- maybe bearings.

Why not just have your two friends register and surf this site on their own and ask their own questions. I know you said your being a friend, but it always sounds funny when ... "a friend of mine as a 6.0L and he knows 2 other 6.0's......"
2004 trucks/motors were corrected, yes there will always be some problems, but there is this site and others that may shed some light on the issue.
