Wierd 1bbl carbs
I called Autozone for a replacement carb for my 78 and the had No carter but they had a Thompson and a Champion that they caimed would work?? the Thompson is $129.99 and the Champion is $116.99. Anyone herd of they carbs?? good bad and ugly wecome! I'm thinking about getting cheaper one because my budget.

Ok here's the deal... they actually are the oringal carter those are just the companies that reman them. Here's my exp with the 3 companies I've dealt with that reman them Number 1 is Holley in my opion..they're the most expensive usually and still have the same 1 year warrenty but I find them to be the best number 2 is Tomco which you called Thompson I belieave you ment Tomco anyhow they're in between price wise..1 year warrenty supposdly part of Holley and number 3 is Champion..the cheapest also 1 year warrenty I've gotten great ones from them as well as crap same for the rest of them but I usually have better luck with the other 2. On a postive note Autozone is excellant with their warrenies and these are quit simple carbs. Just remember to fine tune everything even the choke if it's auto. Good luck.
