I have a predator on my truck, does the same thing, leaks badly when I drive it hard. I replaced cap, tried running coolant low, tried disconnecting egr, still does it. It does not leak in stock tune(factory program). I called Diablo sport, they said they were aware of a problem with some of the trucks doing this, but not all of them, they are working on the problem. I'm sending mine back. I wonder if a cooler thermostat would help? I also wonder if I have a blown head gasket, yikes!

ok...
the horse is dead...
I will beat/kick him again ----
no leaks once I drpped the level myself...
Diablo IS aware that some of these trucks leak even stock...
and putting more pressure ont he system with higher performance WILL generate leaks in the marginal ones...
it's not like the engine will overheat if you're down a few inches of coolant !

If it were a blown head gasket , trust me, you would know it........................
I contacted DiabloSport. They reply "We have seen this issue and are trying to work out a fix for it". Where does this leave their customers who have purchased them?My 2004 F350 ran so hot the first time I had a prblem that I lost two gallons of coolant.
the coolant leaks are on some stock trucks, mostly because the small hose backs itself off a little. the leaking large amounts from the cap only happens when beating it up on the high or 115 hp settings not the stock or 65 hp. i agree on the cap now that i think about it a higher p.s.i. cap would make it go elsewhere, i have lowered my coolant (also overfilled) and we will see from here
Ok I'm tired of everyone stating exactly how IT is when you guys don't know how IT is for MY truck.
With stock programming, I did not blow out a drop of coolant unless in tow/haul mode pulling some additional weight. So other than that, not a drop. Anywhere. Even at multiple WOTs - nothing. I've checked time and time again.
With the Predator in 65 HP Mode, I go WOT and smell burning anti-freeze soon thereafter. I pull over to check it out and there is coolant all over underneath my hood, and had already "rivered" down my driver side shock absorber leaking onto the ground. I lost half a gallon. I know that because that is how much I had to replace.
Took out the predator, went to stock tune, did atleast 20 cold starts over a one week period, disconnected the batteries over night, and then checked the computer with a scanner (Not the predator) and no codes anywhere. I then took it to the dealer and showed them the problem - they popped the hood and there were dried out white spots everywhere stemming from my cap. They replaced the cap and said the old one even held up to 20 psi of pressure (rated @ 16 psi) but they replaced it anyway. If that is BS or not, whatever, it doesn't even matter. They also but orange dye in my coolant in case of another leak. So I get back, put the predator back in and think everying will be okay and after the first few days when the trans has gotten down the shifting I go WOT one night and same thing as I said above...burning coolant, river of anti-freeze, yadda yadda yadda but now I've got orange dye all over the driver side of the engine compartment. Great.
I love the predator, don't get me wrong I'm not a hater this thing is great, but think of me as an observer. If I said something that you later prove wrong, okay, I was wrong, I'm not gonna persist just to be right. I'm observing what is happening and I'm looking for a solution because I love this truck and I work my butt off so my butt has a nice seat to sit in. Thoughts and ideas are welcome, and if you have suggestions please tell me, but if you're gonna be the kid in the back of the class saying "Nuh-uh" the whole time you might as well just get out this thread. Thank you.
A few days ago I rotated my tires and took the predator out, ready to do the whole cycle over again to take it to the dealer. They are also replacing my brake pedal pad (On the H-D trucks it sure looks nice, but doesn't hold up, already came apart) and the power sliding window...that slow POS I would be happier with a manual one. If you've ever seen the speed of the power sliding rear window you want to shake the neck of the designer for being such an idiot...So maybe next weekend the dealer will have it again.

I think everyone else is posting how it is with their trucks, too. I think we are on your side on this. Looks like there is data points all over the map on this one. I believe it happens with stock trucks, I also believe it happens with Predator program loaded and doesn't happen with some stock trucks. There are trucks where it doesn't blow coolant with the Predator loaded. So here is my assumption on this. There is some condition that exists on some trucks that under load causes various amounts of coolant to escape. With some with the condition, the Predator program makes it more pronounced and the escaped coolant will only show up with the Predator loaded. Statistically speaking, if the Predator was the root cause, why are some stock trucks exhibiting the blowing coolant symptom?
