Difference between delay wiper boxes?

Difference between delay wiper boxes?
I have a few extra delay wiper sets I plan on getting rid of. I also plan on keeping one extra for my truck. I noticed that some of the delay wiper boxes have a metal bracket, and some do not. Is the one kind any better than the other? I assume on is the older style and one is the newer style. My truck has the kind with the metal bracket, so I was gonna keep an extra of that kind just in case, but if the other style is better I'll keep one of them. Any real difference besides the bracket? Thanks.
