I would like to add a visor to the cab of my '99F350 crewcab. I was wondering if anyone has notice a huge difference in fuel mileage due to the visor being added? Thank you
They dress up your truck, but at a cost. They are like a mini parachute as the air flow rolls over your hood and up your windshield. Not sure if Quadzilla was talking about a gas rig or diesel, but I have heard many people say their fuel economy went down.
I don't have any personal experience with the visors, but the ones I've seen look like they are fairly open at the top where they connect to the cab, so that air would be able to flow through them easily. Otherwise I think they would get ripped off if there wasn't any way for that amount of air to flow through them. I'm sure there are many different designs and they all have their pros and cons, you'll have to do some homework to see what works the best for you. Good luck!
