dana 60 rear

ok guys here the thing i got a dana 60--its supose to be a trac-lock -but the one wheel turn freely its still in the truck-is it supose two do that--its a 78-f-250

With a limited slip diff both wheels should turn in the same direction if you lift both off the ground, put the trans in Nuetral and spin the tires by hand. If the other tire goes in the opposite direction, it's an open diff. If you lift only one side off the ground with the trans in Nuetral, you should not be able to turn the wheel that's in the air except with alot of force, if the limited slip is in descent shape. If it turns freely with no resistance it's an open diff.
