Throttle Hookup?
Hey All,
I am doing an EFI to Carb conversion and I made a trade for a GM Quadrajet Carb off of an 85 Chevrolet Truck. It was just recently remanufactured and it ran good so I figured that it was a good trade. My question is though...how do I hook my throttle up? My efi throttle bracket definately wouldnt work, but I did get a bracket off of an I6 300 motor..which I hooked up to one of my intake bolts and when i start it it idles too high. I bought a throttle bracket from parts america made by mr.gasket in which I would have to modify to make work, but will it even work? I am clueless lol..the mr gasket most of you have probably seen..there are similar ones made by other brands. They have the "drop" kickdown bracket also. I dont know if this will work but I dont want to modify it to fit on my carb if it wont. Would a throttle linkage off of a chevrolet work? Please any of your help is greatly appreciated.
