E4OD Electric Shift Module
Hey Guy's. I got a 1994 F-150. It has a E4OD tranny that was re-built in 2000. It shift's fine when cold, and after that it slips and slams into gear. I changed the tranny fluid when I got it 5,000 miles ago and she still looks like fresh fluid, no darkening or nothing. What is the module called that controls the shift points and where is it located. I am going to start there and see where it takes me.

The Powertrain Control Module is an integrated computer that controls both your engine and transmission. There is not a separate one for the trans. The diagnostic connector is under the hood on the drivers side. You need to dump the codes to see if the PCM knows what is wrong.
