i was at the local junk yard yesterday and was looking for some leafs for my scout. i had origionally planned on using the rear leafs from a 8- though 96 model 4wd F150, they are a 3" 4 leaf pack if i remember correctly......not sure though. i also noticed the broncos of the same era have a 5 leaf pack that is 3" wide as well.
can someone help me out and list some specs on these leaf packs. the front of the vehicle will weight as much as a 350 plus about 200lbs. so the front wont be too heavy, and the rear will weigh about the same a bit light actually. probably about 400lbs. i need the spring rates, eye to eye without weight on them...eye to eye with weight on them, number of leafs, center pin offset. all that good stuff. thanks. also if you know of other leafs that will flex like mad and i can find at a junk yard let me know.
i would check pirate for that spcific of info. i could find it b/c i have looked myself but i am too lazy and it is late and i am tired. i will dig it up tom if you still need it
look into the 80-96 f-150 2wd rear packs, they are the "ford 57's" you always hear about on pirate. they are soft and flex well......but 2.5 inches wide
