P Code 1401

P Code 1401
I have a 98 Ford Ranger 4 cyclinder and the check engine light is on. I went to autozone and had it scanned. Came back with P Code 1401 DPFE EGRCircuit High Input. I have already changed the EGR valve and the DPFE Sensor. All the vacuum lines appear to be okay. At this point I am out of ideas....anyone else ever have this problem or know of anything else I can check.

Maybe its a wiring problem????

Considering I have already changed the sensor and based on the info. that you sent. Do you think it would be safe to say I have a wiring problem????...I suppose I could stick it on a meter this evening and find out. Thanks again.
