I just finished a complete rebuild of a 292 Y block Ford engine. I posted the pics in my gallery. All I have left to do on the engine is finish polishing the intake and mount it and the 3 deuce carbs. I have short descriptions with each photo in the gallery but could write an article paragraph style in Word. Would it be okay to mention the auto machine shop that did the machine work and the sources for the parts? I did the assembly myself in my home garage including painting the block and valley pan. Started out as a new cam install but it needed more work.

P.S. The article on the home made sand blaster cabinet has a pic of my intake manifold before and after.
glad to see all the interest over the article writing. All of us have things that we've done to our trucks that others can benefit from. Even the simple things (to you) can be complicated to others (like me) A few words and a picture or two can finally turn on the light in our heads..
I'm the guy Ken mentioned that got published in the quarterly magazine and it's nice to get the recognition and the money $$$$$.. I also had an article published this month in Custom&Classic Trucks on my tilt hood.. There is an audience out there for this type of technical information and everyone of us have it to some degree. One good example is the Garage/Workshop forum... look how it's grown and it's just tips and hints... good technical info is worth it's weight in gold
Ken, as soon as I get my patio project ( which I've named the "Widowmaker") finished I'm starting on the "Volare out - Mustang II in" project. There will be an article on this for sure..
Come on guys, If I can write something someone wants to read... anyone can... plus you get those cool goodies from our head web guy...
Hey Ken, would an article on installing my new American Thunder flowmaster exhaust kit be something worth writing?

Ken, I did a cam/head/roller rocker/timing set swap on my 302, and I took lots of step-by-step pictures. I was wondering how I should go about formatting an article, I'd love to give something back to FTE. Should I just write an MS word document and attach all the pictures? I live in Marietta, so if need be I could drop it off on a .ZIP disk. Again, I can't say enough about this cool (and addicting) website that you run, keep up the great work!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Jul-02 AT 11:19 AM (EST)]How about a little $15 upgrade I seen you can do to your AC that may take 30 minutes but allows colder air on Max AC by stopping water flow to heater box.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Jul-02 AT 02:18 AM (EST)]I have started an article on installing an EFI 460 into a 1978 Bronco, http://www3.sk.sympatico.ca/rrussell/swap.html ,
anything else I need to do ?
Trying not to be a pain but how long does it take to put up a tech article and how do we know if it's even going to be used?
