Overdrive bulb Replacement
I have a 92 F150 with the E4OD tranny and the OD switch is on the end of the shifter lever. The OD light is also there.
When the OD is off the word 'OFF' is supposed to light up but doesn't. OD works fine and the switch works fine, changes from OD to non-OD when pushed. The buld will come on for a second if I mess with the end of the shift lever. I know the whole end comes out but not off, due to the wires going to it.
How do I change the bulb, if it is too big a pain then I will just have to live with it. I tow a trailer without using OD so it is nice to know which I have it in when I start out.

Never changed one but the end piece comes off on mine (part that covers the switch). Mine came off while cleaning the truck and just popped back on. i would think that you could get to the bulb there. I'll go pull mine back off and check.
