High pressure oil crossover

Anyone using or have used one of these set-ups? Sound like a logical idea.

I know quite a few people using these for a few years without any problems, including myself. As long as you install it correctly and don't try to tighten the fittings like they're the only things holding your truck together, you shouldn't have any problems.

I've been running one for over two years without any problems. The problems I've heard of other guys having is when their home made version failed on them. Get a good one, comprised of fittings and hose that are up to the task, and you shouldn't have any problems. Several places sell them, mine's a TYMAR.

The people that I've heard from that have had problems have not had a Tymar HPX kit. Talk to Dale is you want some good information. It seems that a lot of the kits don't use hose that is designed to both withstand the proper levels of heat and pressure as well as being rated for the PSI when bending past a certain point. It's on my long list of "to do's" for my truck.

Bought mine from DieselManor, no leaks, no blow outs, great quality, works just fine.

I've heard that most all manufacturers of the HPX recommend a change out every year or so. Heat and potential chaffing also come into play besides the pressure and connection issues.

I've never heard that from Dale, though his HPX hose is stainless steel braided, so chafing isn't an issue. Maybe that's the difference.

Talking

The DieselManor hose is a 40000 lb. burst pressure hose that does not need the exterior stainless sheathing.

I would say with any of the HPX's, If you aren't careful when routing them, there is pedestal bolt head that could rub through any of them if you're not careful.

I think I'll change mine every 1-2 years just to avoid any unexpected surprises.

I think they call it preventative maintenance.

I also got mine from diesel manor, I like mine so far. Heatstroked is right maintenance is everything. I will change mine every year or two, just to be safe.
