oil change intervals

Hi i am new to this bulletin board and also to diesels. My question is do the majorety of you change your oil at the recommended interval of 5000 miles or less under normal driving conditions, no towing. My truck is a 2000 f350 4x4 reg cab diesel new. and loving it. Also any tricks or tips will be appreciated. Thankyou!!!!!

Stick to the recomended service of 5000. Unless you use it in extreme conditions. Use a good quality oil for the truck, we use Delo 15w-40.

I change the oil in my 99 F250 SD PSD every 3000 miles. The injector system relies on good quality and clean oil. I use Delo 400 15/40.

Thanks for the replies. I will probably change mine around 4000 miles.
