Clearing trouble codes

I just changed the plugs and wires on my 1997 F-150. A few weeks ago I had the guy at Autozone check for trouble codes and it said misfire on cyl. 4 and 6. Now that I have the plugs and wires changed, I still have the check engine light on. Do I need to disconnect the battery cable for so long or take it back to Autozone and have them clear the codes. Either one you want will work. I would go ahead and unhook the battery for about 15 min. This way the PCM can relearn your driving habits and it may run a bit better.
