390 to 300
I have recently bought a '73 F250 with a smoking 390 and tight C6 transmission. My dilemma is this, I want to rebuild (maybe build up) the 390, but I still need the use of the truck. I have access to a good running 300-6. I have swapped a 352 for a 300 before in a '64 I believe it was. This was for a friend, so I am not sure of the year. I built and welded the motor mounts in place while the engine was suspended from a crane. On my truck, I want to replace the 390 after the rebuild, so I need to hopefully get a set of motor mounts for a '73 F250 with a 300 6. Are these in existence? Any help or suggestions on the swap would be appreciated.

I know there are I6 trucks that I see in the salvage yard within that range, but keep in mind you can look for a truck from 73-79, they are the same. you will also need a tranny for that I6 as it will not have the same bell housing pattern as your 390.
