Help ID Green-Brown Wire?
Can you ID a wire I can't find in my shop manual wiring diagrams? This wire is green-brown, 16-18 gauge. On my truck, some previous owner has cut it, leaving about six inches dangling on the firewall side, where the wire emerges from the bundle passing thru the firewall in the highest, most driver-side location. Under the dash, I find it on the driver's side where it terminates in first, a male, factory bullet connector followed a few inches later by a female, factory bullet socket. The male connector is plugged into a factory female connector with brown wire. The female connector at the end of the green-brown line is connected to nothing; it dangles. My truck is '66 F250, custom cab, no radio. I really don't like a dangling, cut, unknown wire in the engine compartment. Thanks for clues, solution.
