I used to watch horror movies all the time. The only one that honestly scared me was Candyman 2 : Day of the Dead, so I guess that would be the best one.
Audition.
Its a Japanese movie , so you have to put up with subtitles, but you get used to that ...
You want scarey , get Audition, i have it on DVD , watched it once , aint had the nerve to look at it again, yet ....nothin comes close to this, Day of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Braindead, all lame compared to this..
Oh , im getting scared just thinkin about it again !!!!
I liked the recently released "Dawn of the Dead". It was weird to watch zombies going full speed...w/ a vengeance! It made me sore from flinching throughout the movie! So where would YOU go if this (or 28 Days) really happened?
Night of the Creeps - giant killer garden slugs
Serpent and the Rainbow - scary outhouse scene
Ghost Ship - bad film, seriously coolest mass death scene ever created
Children of the Corn - I was 6 years old, and we grew lots of corn....
"Jaws" scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.
In fact, I still won't swim in the ocean (or even deep lakes). I guess it had a lasting impression
I've seen it again as an adult, and it still has the same effect - its the perfect horror movie....you dont even "see" the shark until its half over - I know now (because of the internet) that this was not on purpose, but because of mechanical problems - but it still works for me.
I think if I saw the shark earlier in the movie, I wouldn't be so scarry.
And the music, well that just made it even more scarrier............
My favorite scary movies are:
1. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original 70's), the new one (2004), and part 2 for laughs.
2. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
3.Freddy -vs- Jason
4. Evil Dead 1,2 and Army of Darkness
5. That black and white one about the zombies. Dawn or Night or Return???Something about the dead. That may be the scariest movie I've seen.
6. Silence of the Lambs
7. The Shining
**** I better stop looking at the DVD rack, I've lost focus...
"the saw is family"
I felt it was too cheezy, it made me scream a lot, not as in "ahhhh scary" more like "oh my god, what are you a complete *******?!? DONT GO DOWN THERE!!! I hope you die down there for being so stupid.". Yea, thats how most of my screaming when while watching that movie
