Power Steering Vibration
I have a '92 Aerostar EXT 4wd Eddie Bauer 108000 miles, and I notice that with the engine on when it is in park, or at a stand still if I turn the wheel from left to right, I have a vibration in the steering. Anyone else have this....Any guru's out there that can help me out with any possible problems/suggestions.

Hello-I have the same van with a simular issue. I am assumming the rack or PS pump is at fault, because at a slightly higher RPM the vibration deminishes. Either the rack requires more fluid pressure or the PS pump can't generate the pressure at idle.
I've replace the belt and flushed the PS fluid when I purchased the van a few months ago and the issue is still present.

I had similar problems and used Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak. It stopped the leaking and smoothed everything out. It is only about $7.00. Worth a try. I was getting ready to swap the pump. That was 2 years ago. Still going strong with 190,000 miles.
