I am looking to get new tires and want any suggestions. I drive mainly in town, but hunt frequently and need something semi aggressive. I have been looking at BFG's All-terrains, Duelers (I like the BFG's, but will they make too much noise or be too rough). I do not do any recreational off roading.
I would highly recommend the BFG A/T T/O. Have had them on my 96 4x4 explorer for three years now...love them. Not nearly as noisey as you think they might be...even at freeway speeds. And as far as i'm concerned, best all-terrain for traction...They perform excellent in mud and snow.
I recommend the Bridgestone Dueler's A/T...I recently put them on my 02 Explorer and they are a dream...They are 100x better than the Michelins Cross Terrains that I had on.
BFG AT's are quiet on the highway and last a long time. They perform well in just about anything except deep snow and mud. I have 33" BFG AT's on my truck now and love them.
I have Michelin on my 2004, a great and quiet riding tire. In the past, I have ran several sets of Kelly Safari tires. The AWR line has a smooth and quiet ride (given the aggressive tread) and will stick to the road no matter how much snow or ice.
Not expensive and a great tire...I can't tell you how much i love mine
Me too! The Duelers were on my 99 when I bought it. I've driven city, highway & minor off road stuff & I've never had a problem. They aren't any noisier than my Taurus was with a new set of the stock General's on it. I don't think you can go wrong with these!

they are quieter than the Michelins that came stock with my explorer.
