i am planning on doing a 2 hockey puck lift to my truck and was wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me how to do it. does anyone have a website or a DIY or something? any help would be appreciated
Do you really want the body sliding when you slam on the breaks? I'm sure it could be done but I'd agree with Metalsludge, buy a body lift, they're not that expensive.
My buddy had a 4" hockey-puck body lift on his 78 GMC, and after a year the pucks cracked and buckled under the weight of the truck body. GET A REAL BODY LIFT!!! that way you don't have to do the lift twice.
Bud I really dont think it would be even any cheaper. By the time you buy enough pucks, bolts, washers, nuts and make bumper brackets you will probably be at the same price as the body lift would be that comes with all this stuff and alot less headaches and not to mention ALOT SAFER!!
I found one for your truck made by Performance Accessories (best body lifts made IMO) for 84.95 @ www.summitracing.com search for part # PRA PA 763
