Thumbs up --> 2 Thumbs Up - 1956MarkII (aka Jeff)<--

Just picked up my new rig from Jeff Clark of Van Bortel Ford - Fantastic experience. The 700 mile round trip from CT was well worth it. Jeff is very knowledgeable and was a great help in configuring my new ride. Getting it out the door for 9k+ below retail was also nice . My truck was out front and gassed up when I arrived, paperwork all ready, everything went down perfectly, no surprises. Well, maybe one, really did not expect Jeff to take me and family to lunch (I kid you not). Everything in life should so easy. Thanks for everything - truck is awesome.

jeff, two thumb's up and a high five to boot. Buying lunch for ktuffy's family is a top notch, classy move. Good luck to Jeff, van bortel ford and the customer service mentality they are fostering.

What a great way to do business. No surprise though. Look how Jeff always goes over and beyond whenever he posts here. He helped me when I purchased my F250 get all the rebates I was entitled to. Rebates my salesman was not "offering" me. When it comes time to replace our next vehicle we will be calling Jeff.

I think that Van Brotel could double their production with a west coast dealership. Think it over Jeff, talk to the man

Thanks ktuffy, for the business, and everyone else for the kind words. Been a tough day on the home front (family pet in her last days), so it really helped to read this thread. Once again, FTE proves to be a great bunch of people helping each other out; I'm just doing my fair share. Of course, I get PAID for my part......

A few people I know think I am kind of crazy for going so far to buy a truck. I knew this was what I was going to do after a quick search around the site. I did however email 20 local dealers for giggles. 5 of the 20 replied to my email and only one answered my question, "what kind of price, from invoice, they could do on a new ordered truck?" The answer from that dealer was "invoice." At that time Jeff and Van Bortel was running the $950 below invoice deal. $950 may not seem like it's worth the effort, but it gets better. I ordered a V10 F350 with 4.30 LS gears. With standard emmisions, if I had ordered one around here, the 4.30 LS would have been a $350 option. With the California (and other states like NY) emmisions compliance option the 4.30 LS was a no-charge option on the SRW F350. Then Jeff informed me that as of May 1 Ford was going to increase the Super Duty base price $285 with Price Level 450. I would not have known that if it wasn't for Jeff, so I see the total savings being over $1500 compared to what I would have gotten around here.

As long as my order doesn't get cancelled for some crazy reason, I expect to be making the trip to Victor, NY sometime around the first of July
