One last thing...I was reading your story on the job and I must have missed it, but how much drive shaft, brake line, fuel line etc did you hack off? Thanks a million.
This stuff will be unique to each job, after the frame is shortened you would have to measure each item.
Just because he had a shaft shortened so many inches, doesn't mean the same shaft will fit in a truck that someone else does.
No disrespect, but if your asking these questions, this may not be something you should attemp.....

You take out 16" because that is the difference between a longbed and a shortbed.

When shorting these trucks the only difference between the trucks is that it is 2WD or 4WD because the 4WD needs a custom fuel tank as a stock tank will not go back in. As long as you measure 16" all the trucks are the same , as long as you are using 2WD to 2WD and 4WD to 4WD the parts will interchange.
Very true, but there are variables, any good driveshaft shop will tell you to wait till it is down full load on the suspension and rolls, then measure for the shaft.
fn250- Brazil is the only place I've seen were you can get a short bed reg cab.
Yeti- I understand the comment that every truck is difference. I restored a 1971 Alfa Romeo GTV and a 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV6 and both needed beefer drive shafts. So me and my pops took two shafts out of a Chevy 350 and had them measured/shortened/balanced. So I know we needs to be done. I just wanted a ball park figure from WeWeld so that When the time came I wasn't inches off. The last thing I want is to be riving down the road and having serious vibration issues. Thanks for the help though. No offense taken.
Overheight- There were 22's I believe, check out the link that was posted. There is a complete story written. Hope that helps.
Just curious, but why would you go through all that trouble just for a shortbed? Do they not make regular cab shortbeds?
Roadracer: You can order that truck in brazil,Check out this>>>>>LINK<<<<< ,it takes a while to load, but is a cool site! I wonder if you could order a frame and make your own conversion?
