I work in a concrete factory, and there is an engine sitting on a forklift skid. I was told that it came out of an old Ford 1-ton pickup. A friend of mine said that it was a Ford FE, and I was just wondering if there was any way to tell.
While I was looking at the engine, where the flywheel usually is,(it had been removed)there was a stamp on the block there was a two digit number on top of the number 352.

Its most definately a FE then. The 352 was the first produced and was cast on most blocks, I think up to 1971. The number above it is not the year. If you look at the front left bank beloew the cylinder head it should say a number and 352 if you scrap the crap off. Oh if you are wondering 352 doesn't mean its a 352 either. Ford weird ways.
