Reason: missed word
Removing is easy, it's the trying to explain that i find difficult. The **** is held on by a concentric retainer. On the bottom side of the **** you should see a small opening at the base of the ****. If you insert a pointed tool and release the tention on the retainer it should come off. Never can remember which way to apply pressure, believe towards you. Should not require force. If you have a replacement **** you can see what i am trying to explain. For the Light switch, on the top of the switch there is a pin that when you push down and pull on the know it will come out w/ the shaft.
Good luck,
dave

Thanks dave,
I wanted to replace a few of mine but never could figure how to get the darn things off. I just figured the were molded on.
Man this is a great site!
Tiremine
Some ***** are held on by a setscrew, the clips are easy...I use a paperclip or teeny tiny screwdriver to depress the clip to release it. The light switch....undo battery first so you wont drain it, pull like your turning lights onthen push button and pull out.
The fresh air type used thru 64 are knurled so I just swap the **** and cable assy as a unit.
I have scads of these suckers if anyone is in the need.....But I am seeking nice ***** with the heat and temp on the inserts....they are the hard ones to find.
