First oil change question
#16
I'm confused
okay, maybe this is correct then.
Ford uses lighter oil for break-in. Ford then uses heavier oil for normal operation starting from 1st oil change. Could this be why people notice a drop in mpg's after the first oil change? and possibly confuse a loss to a reflash? After sending my scmt in and reloading the stock program, I can see a big difference in my mpgs around town. I initially loaded the scmt right after my first oil change and was driving it around until I got tired of the harsh shifting at lower speeds in econ mode.

Finally found it. Yep F-111 with nipple (ordered it already). My only concern is no magnet like on standard drain plug. Maybe I should wait and put a few more miles on her. What do you think? i currently have about 4500 miles on the odometer. Also, finally read through the "oil" thread and the oil-guard kind of interested me. I'm not real mechanically inclined and psdwannabe's pics of his install are no longer posted.
