after building and swapping and what not you begin to learn Ford's ways of doing things and will learn what year trucks have what components. although there is always a twist in there somewhere.
axle tag isn't always a surefire way to know....some ppl swap the tags out. it's best to open it up and see what's inside...become familar with it
