Has anyone updated their Predator to the r19b version? I did mine and I am dissapointed. It seems really lazy now compared to before. On the 100hp tune mine was alittle too agreesive I will agree but now it has gone the other way too far.
Just wondering if any others have had any better results.
I havn't gotten the update yet, but I have a question, how do you like the 60 and 85 hp tunes. I very seldom run mine on the 100 because Idon't like the aggressive timing advance, I usually stay on the 60, plenty of power and very smooth. Did they change that tune as well, worse or better?? Of course i will post when i get the update how I feel about the upper tune.
Is 19b a new r19? I have had problems with r19 for the past 6 months, so I'd like to try it if it's new.
btw - I think the Predator is a nice unit, but DS's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have been unable to use mine since early December because of problems with the r19 revision.
The new update is the (r19b). I did mine afew days ago. I had no issues with the r19 but others did. They have (detuned in my opinion) the 100hp setting. The others seem to be about the same.
I personaly run the 85hp almost all the time. It is the most fun. The 100hp seemed to be too agressive for me, but I still liked it. Now it seems the power comes on at about 1/2 throttle and does not have as much at wide open. All tunes have less smoke and lower exhaust temps. I think on these tunes you lose some power but have better exhaust for the price. May not a bad thing.
