Thumbs down

That is scary!!!!!! Hopefully they will be smart enough to get on the CB and let all the truck drivers know what they looked like. That way they can be on the look out for them. I personally think that would be the quickest way to find them. If it's not too late.

That's what I was thinking - why not send out a detailed description of the tankers???

But surely they would have a tag number or truck number they could look for. And I know a lot of tanker trucks I've seen around have somekind of grafetti on them. There are distingushing marks somewhere on those trucks I'm sure.

Exclamation

From this mornings San Antonio Express News:

"The industrial trucks have white cylindrical propane tanks and blue and white cabs. Both the cabs and the tanks carry the "Ferrellgas" logo. One truck bears the identification number #D112, license plate 8WXW38, and was carrying a 2,600 gallon tank; the other truck's identification number is #B889, and was carrying a 3,000 gallon tank."

Would that not narrow down the search? Dozens as compared to tens of thousands?
Every little bit helps...

if they were really stolen by terrorists they are probably not in mexico, it would be too hard to get it back in the country to use in an attack. wonder if they were taken by kids as some sort of senior prank gone wrong?

i have a feeling that they will turn up empty in the next few days

They found the trucks at an abandoned warehouse in Laredo. Story said propane is in short supply in Mexico. I haven't heard if the trucks were empty or not; could have transfered the gas into other trucks and gone across the border. At least they were found there instead of parked under a high rise filled with explosives.

Glad they found them. That could have been a very large tragedy (sp).
