I've only had my '04 SCREW a little over three weeks. Yesterday, my wife borrowed it and got caught in a hail storm. Ouch! Some one please console me. PDR here we go!
We feel your pain, I have been hammered twice in two years and use the painless dent repairs that follow bad storms and have been very very pleased with the results, I think it was about 1300.00 the first time and 650.00 the second, the first time was really nasty. shop around, the price can very on this. you will never know it happened. Good Luck
Tough, you in Texas? I was sweating it last night when the storm blew through. Covered parking doesn't protect the back Foot or so of my truck. Wind was blowing so hard, trying to throw a blanket over the back would have been a waste of time. Luckily I came through dent free. The hail where I live was pretty small. Of course they're predicting a second round of thunderstorms and hail tonight.
Put the truck in the shop already. Should have it back by Wed. It will be mostly PDR. That same hail storm that rolled through here (Austin, TX) also hammered a a couple of dealerships on the motor mile. Anyone looking to get discount on a brand new dented truck?
My truck just got hailed on last night Not even 2 months old. It wasn't severe, but my hood and roof now has dents. We'll see how the dentless repairs are

Well we had a "hail" of a trip. Ran into a hail storm south of Knoxville. Damage total, $3900. New hood, fenders dented, top dented, tonneau cover ruined, mirror broken. I said to the wife " the way this trip is starting I'd just as soon go back home". She said "fine with me I didn't want to go anyway." She didn't have to say it twice. Turned around and came home, total miles 911. Other than that it was a great trip.
Oh No bigjack! Sorry to hear you joining our exclusive dented truck club. That's no way to break in a truck on it's firts long road trip.
Update on my situation: As if it were not bad enough dealing with the aggrivation of having a brand new truck hailed on, now I have to deal with a shop that can't fenagle enough money out of my insurance company to cover the damage. Now their saying if I want it fixed through them, I'll have to shell out another $150 on top of my deductible. I guess I'll start looking for another body shop. The saga continues.

Thanks Ford Tough. Most decent shops can pad the estimate to cover the deductable. I'd look around too.
