Question front end lift

whats the best way to lift my 99 ranger 4x4 front end about 1.5-2 inches? I want to level it out a little without going overboard with lift kits or spending too much but the front end needs to come up some.the truck is stock with 245/75/16's

I just did my '96 Ranger XL 4X4 regular cab. I used Rough Country springs that ran about $110.00. Gave me right at 1.5 inches of lift. Still got by with the same shocks too. You will have to do an alignment after the springs are installed. I had a shop install them as I had other work done too. Good ride, nice looks and it was not real expenxive. It appears from their web page that they do not get into newer thatn '97 but it would be worth a call. http://rough.roughcountry.com/83-97%20Ranger.htm

If you just want a little lift you can tighten the torsion bars. You still have to have a alignment done and it will ride a little rougher, but its free (other than the alignment unless you can do it yourself)

It does have torsion bars right? If so the tough country springs won't work.
