I got my '94 F-350, but as I go through all the manuals and whar all else I'm seeing a lot of references to the super duty models, and I'm wandering how I can tell if I have a super duty or not. I think there should be a sticker under the F-350 emblem, but I'm not sure about that.
In case some of you haven't noticed yet, I recently "saw the light" and now like Ford(but I still like GMC).
In 94 the superduty was a heavier chasis, it has a straight front axle and has a gvw of 14000. F150 - 350 are not superduty. It was considered by many as an F450
I have seen a few of the mid 90's super dutys running around. The fender emblems I have seen always say "FSuperDuty" as opposed to F350 I almost bought a 92 super duty a years or so ago for towing. Looked like a really beefy F350.
I may be wrong, but I believe that they started calling them superduty like F250 Superduty after 95. The difference is in the GVW, like the F250 Superduty is 8800 GVW and the regular is around 6200 GVW. Prior to that the F450 was the only superduty.
My buddy's 97 4x4 Psd F-250 says heavy duty not super duty under the F-250 symbol on the tailgate so its not really a super duty its called a heavy duty super duty would still be the F-450 or F-super duty as as the emblem shows, the F_250 super duty didnt come out till the "new" super duty bodystyle
