Every once in a while I'll see someone with a piece of copper wire wrapped around their wrist or maybe an actual copper bracelet on. Usually they are "older" guys but not always. What's the theory behind this?
its sposed to balance out magnetic waves in the body for some type of healing...my old boss wore one and his arm was allways green from it....i thought it was weird cause copper is poison to people i heard....but to the best of my knowledge thats what it is.
I don't think copper is poisonous - that's what most of the water lines in houses are made from. But year the copper thing is one of those Chi Chi Rodriguez magnet bracelets. Good luck finding a study that analyzes the effectiveness of those things.
I wear a copper bracelet ocationally. It seems to help with aches and pains. Especially minor ones due to your back being out of whack. I'm only 20 also. From my experience it seems to work and there is no harm in it, so why not wear it.
Yeah, why just one? You could wrap copper straps all over your arms and legs. You could make a copper belt. You could wrap copper wire so you would look like a mummy.
Funny...I carry my change, including pennys, in my left pants pocket. My left leg doesn't feel any better than my right one!
I remember a report on TV about those bracelets, a while back. It said they do nothing.
Well maybe it is all a mental trick. But they are cheap and seem to work for me so why not use one? Tricking my brain with a bracelet is better than poppin' advil every couple of hours. imo I found this site that talks a little bit about them if any one is interested. www.1001herbs.com/magnetic-bracelet/

Reason: spelling
My then-fiancee bought me a copper link bracelet when I had some pains in my arm... I wore it to humor her, but found out that I did feel better with it. It's probably just an "old wives' tale", but hey, maybe there is something to it. I still wear it once in awhile, but these days it's more for fashion than anything else.
