Superchargers?

A friend just installed a kit from X-Chargers on his '01 4.0 Ranger. Kit is well made, installs easily, about 75 hp at rear with 5-6 lbs boost, uses Eaton M62 Roots blower. Is kinda expensive at $3599. X-Charger number is 888-397-5673. Hope this helps.

Just 75 hp? Maybe I expect too much, I was thinking an easy 100 hp??

No body makes a S/C for your 98....BBK used to make one but they no longer do. It is possible to install a S/C made for a 89-97 Ranger/Explorer...the 98s have a returnless fuel system.
