engine towers,stands, mounts

whatever you call the peice that you bolt the motor mounts to that is bolted to the frame, i need some. i have a 78 f-250 frame, and i am going to put a FE in it. it had a 400 in it so it is obvious that those towers wont work, correct.
can i get any old FE towers out of any 73-76 truck or does it have t be a 250 becuase of frame differences. can i use fe towers out of pre 73 trucks weather they be 1/2 tone or 3/4 ton
all in all i need to know exactly what my options are for a possible donor truck, or exaclty what i need to tell somebody at a junk yard so i dont buy up a lot of parts that i dont need and cant use.

i thought about putting this in the 73-79 forum but it is more FE specific so i placed it here
thanks in advance.

Dig around some scrap yards, any F250 pre 72 should have come with the right mounts and you will just have to install them to see if they will fit w/o modifications...

My '69 is a 250, and they're different than the '72 150...only in height from the crossmembers though, which are different cause the 250 is 2wd, the 150 is 4wd. If I remember correctly though, the 250 4wd's were leaf sprung in the front and the 150 is coil sprung, so they may also have differing crossmembers. Basically I'd look for a 4wd F250 that had an FE in it and then there's no guesswork.
