I put Banks headers on my '94 which required no modifications, other than an $1100 hole in my wallet and 4 nights in the barn trying to get busted bolts out of the heads (bolts busted before I started the project, and in fact why I started the project.)
Seriously though, I love 'em. Good fit-up and great performance. Effortless torque is the best description. Here's a quick example. Just this morning I was behind a new GM Envoy on the freeway on-ramp. By the black soot coming out of his tailpipe I knew he had the thing matted, and I was keeping his pace with barely half throttle. That was a good feeling
can you tell us a little more about the macs? any pics?
coated? shorty?
i ordered the Hedman Elite series from Jeg's. they are coated , have 3/8 flanges, are 14 gauge steel, have 1 3/4 primaries, and are a mid length style for around the same price. haven't got them yet, but they look decent.
kevinrf250, did you find a good deal on them? I can't find anything it seems under $450. I'm thinking I'm going to have to bite the bullet on these and pay for the quality.
Kevinrf250, do you know what part # your L&L's are, and do you happen to have photos of them? There are several part #s for the EFI 460, and I'm trying to figure out which one I need. Do your headers have air injection fittings?
Thanks,
Scott
