comp. mud bog motor suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions for building a 460 to compete in mud bogs with only restrictions being cast iron heads,no blowers,no nitrous,and no fuel injection. Right now running a 472 with 68' cj heads that have mild porting on exhuast and edel brock performer rpm camshaft,intake,and 750 carb. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

sounds like you already have a good start- you should consider stepping up to a victor intake and a bigger carb. I'll assume you already run a good set of headers. People say 460's will handle all the fuel and air you can give them.
