C4 transmisson

Hi My c4 passing gear link in trans came off i can see where it goes but i do not know witch way to to face the arm on the shaft or how it was held in place it is in a 1973 f100 i do not know if itis orginal trans any help thanks for any help you could provide

the kickdown lever is held on by a c-clip to the carb and to the transmission. it just slips over the lever.

the nipple to the kickdown faces away from the trans. it is held on by an E clip.

yeah, and you should be able to get the clips at autozone, or whatever the equivalant (sp) is there

i know how it goes on out side the trans i need to know how it goes on inside the trans you have gear slector and throu the middel of that is the kick down leaver on the outside it has a nut on the inside of the trans it looks like the leaver was sudered on can i fix this or do i need to order another 1
