Had them installed on my 5.8L when I had it rebuilt 2 years ago. I too had to wait about 8 months for the manifolds. But I believe strongly it was just the guy who owned the shop where I had ordered them from. He just couldn't get off his lazy dead fat **** and order the parts. His shop finally closed down and then almost a year later he croaked in his sleep. Well needless to say he had screwed more people than I had realized. And I knew most of them.

Enough of whining now. I love the setup. lots more power. I also got thier throttle body too. It's all good.

Tite eldelbrock claims 34ft lbs of torque, was it alot more noticeable ,on my 92 bronco, i have the bbk thottle body(56mm),super chip, msd6a box,a billet distributor and blaster coil. Future mods after the 3881 manifolds are headers by either bassani or gibson.TR

Hey tite, was that charlie you had working on your rig?

Black Ford, your going to like the Eledbrock/BBK throttle body set up, you'll like it even more with the Bassani Y pipe and a set of Bassani eq length headers, thats when you'll get the potential from your new intake manifold setup.

There was a definate improvement over stock. The 56mm Edelbrock Throttle body was accually made by BBK. Now they both went thier own seperate ways as of like last year. Throttle Body & upper & lower Edelbrock Manifold were mounted the same time.

I do have to ask, Who is Charlie? If you are reffering to what I mentioned earlier, The parts I had ordered thru a speed parts shop that was about 2 miles from home. There is accually a very long story, but funny, about this particular shop & the guy who owned it. I wont bore everybody with it here.

I'm planning to buy the same intake, just need to come up with $560, but I'm getting the 61mm BBk throttle body.

ohhh man now I'm torn. I was gonna spend the money I've been saving up on a lift... and I've been throwing around ideas of an intake/TB swap... Are you guys putting them on a 351w or a 302? Are you seeing any difference in MPG? It seems like I might want to rebuild before I put these on... even though I'm still running very stong at 132k miles. Has anyone put this setup on (or any other u/l intake setup) without pulling the engine?

I have no plans of a blower or anything extreme, but I'd like to get up close to 400 lbs/ft of torque / 330-ish HP. I just want to be able to spank my buddy's '98 Z71 on the road as well as I already do off road :-).

the intake and tb alone will not get you to the numbers you seek. you would need to put aftermarket heads, a really good cam, headers/exhaust, intake , tb, and even stroking the motor as well.

hmmm I was hoping that I could get better gains than that... IIRC, the '93 351 is rated at about 210 HP and 330 lb/ft of torque. I'd be happy with less horsepower if i ould get the torque close to 400. I think that the right intake/TB setup with good exhaust should get me close. it's only a 75 lb/ft or so gain, and Edelbrock claims half of that... with electric fans, K&N/homemade cold-air, bassani ceramic headers, and high-flow catback... you don't think i could get 75 lb/ft out of all that?

its possible i guess. thats a setup i have yet to try. remember those hp/trq ratings are at the flywheel not the rear wheels

of course... and that's where I'd like to get the numbers I want. (un)fortunately I do not have the cash for it all right now, so I have some time to research
