2.3l oil pan

does anyone have a better way to remove the oil pan off a 92 mustang, 2.3L non-turbo, than removing the transmission. i just replaced the oil pump by jacking up the engine and giving myself just enough room to work inside the pan, only to have the pan crack during reassembly, and i am looking for a better way to replace the pan or maybe a two piece aftermarket pan if they exist. any help would be greatly appreciated, and hopefully timesaving.

Welcome to FTE.
As far as I know, you'll have to do it the hard way. Haven't heard of a 2 piece pan.

On my cars, I've dropped the crossmember to get
the oil pan off, it's a damn site easier than getting
the tranny out...
