I have a question bout tire sizes. I have heard and I have sworn I have seen 31 x 10.50's fit on the stock rims. But the other day someone was telling me that they are too wide and that they wouldnt fit. I was just wanted to make sure what I thought was correct, because i really do think they will fit on my stock rims. I have a 96 XLT 4x4 Ext Cab if that helps ne and right now i have 235/75/15 on there.
Also one more question, which tire size is really bigger. 265/75/15 or 31 x 10.50 because today at school we were looking at them and the 265s looked bigger, but we wasnt sure if that was because of the height of the other truck since it has 6 inches of lift and 31 inch tires on it or if they were really bigger.
31's fit on my stock rims with no problems whatsoever, and before that I ran 40K miles on a set of 255's (They're kinda close to a 31), and those had no problems either. Converting 265mm to inches nets 10.43 inches, so, depending on the schedule of the tire (50, 60, 70 series) it may be shorter, the same, or taller than a 31. However, the wide availability and usually lower price of the 31 will probably make it the best choice. 31's, by the way, are the perfect size for a good looking Ranger, in my opinion, and never, ever rub on anything...
Yeah, you can get the Ranger from the factory with 31x10.50s now so yes they fit. And I have 265/75-16s on my Ranger right now which are 32x10.10s and I love them but I want to go another half-inch wider next time.
