I recently purchased a '87 F250 w/ regular cab, 6.9 diesel, 4-WD which I failed to inspect the cab floor pans on. When the seat belt anchor ripped off the floor recently I decided to see what was up. I discovered the whole floor pan, cab corners, as well as numerous other body components in bad shape. So far, I will need 14 replacement pieces totalling around $500. Since I'm a rookie at body restoration is this a job that can be done fairly easy or is there welding involved? Almost sorry I bought the truck; I should of inspected it better. Any feed-back would be appreciated. Thanks, in advance.
DPS3749,
This is NOT a job for the novice! It involves a lot of welding. I'd check out a source for southern or western truck body parts. You might find a whole cab cheaper. Good luck with your project.
