Question .080-.096 drill

I may or may not need a .080-.096 drill for drilling exhaust holes in my
valve body. I am installing a shift kit it say's that I may or may not have
to drill holes, there may already be a slot in there? Anyhow to the point,
what fractional size drill bit is going to fall into the .080-.096 inch catagory.
It can be any size in between, but not less than .080 or more than .096.
At least that's what the instruction's with the kit say.

5/64" = 0.078125" or 3/32" = 0.09375" or 2MM = 0.0787" Drill bits usually drill oversize. You can also buy letter and number size drill bits at a good hardware store.

thanks for the reply, I got 2 3/32 drills from the machine shop i work
at, i should have just asked one of them guy's. I measured of them with
my digital caliper and it was .092, which is within tolerance. So I have
my drill's now!

You might want to start with a 5/64" and try to see how it shifts. If it is not what you want you can use the 3/32" drill size.
