I have a 97 F250 7.3 Powerstroke. I have been having problems with it sutting down, it only happens when I am comming to a stop or slowing down. Does anybody have any information as to why this is happening. Please help

It could be time for a new (CPS) cam position sensor. Are you getting and check engine lights? Try to take a readout of the throttle position sensor and check the waveform throughout is entire movement from idle to full throttle and see if there are any dead spots. Make sure it has the correct resistance at idle.

Thank you for responding, There is no warning what so ever, The engine just shuts off, theres no power loss or dash lights or any other prior warning that I have noticed. Could it still be the CPS?.
