Seeking Sirius Info
I have the SAT capable 6 CD in-dash changer in my 04 Mustang. From this other thread it appears that a direct plug in satellite radio tuner is available for $200, plus $50 for a Ford wiring harness. I want to get one but I have a few questions for those that have done it.
1) Was your experience with Radios And More a positive one or a negative one? Did you get your tuner at a different place?
2) Did you need anything more than the tuner kit and the Ford harness? How did the installation go? Did you do it yourself? Did you take it to a stereo shop?
3) Did you mount the antenna on a location other than the roof? On the trunk? In the rear window? How did that work for you?

I can't help -w- the first 2 questions, but you can mount the antenna on the trunk. I did that -w- my 94 Protege. With Sirius though, you might get some signal blockage. Yeah their sat's are higher in orbit, but the don't have near as many repeater's on the ground. I have XM in my Ranger and Pro and Sirius in the Suburban. Sirius cuts out more.

I recently installed sirius in my 98' F-150. You can buy a Kenwood sirius tuner at Circuit city for $50.00 complete with cable. Sirius antenna was also $50.00. I replaced the entire audio system in my truck with a new Kenwood system so I had to purchase the appropiate wiring harness. Since your CD changer is Sirius ready you shouldn't need anymore than the tuner and antenna. The most tedious part was running the cable under the carpet to the receiver and running the antenna wiring through the back glass.
