F-250 Suspension Upgrade
I am trying to find out technical information regarding the suspension on my F-250 Super Duty Pickup. I currently tow a 28' 5th and am looking to upgrade to something in the 35' range. However I am not sure if the suspension on the F-250 is up to the task or do I need to think about upgrading the truck to the F-350 size. What is the weakest link on this truck as far as towing capacity? Is it the leaf springs themselves, or is it the braking system.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Or if you know of an internet site that might be able to help me that would be fine also.
Thanks for your time and Happy Trucking!!

P.S. I have tried going to the Ford web page but that site is difficult to get into and when I did it wouldn't allow me to send any emails to them.

Matt, there are adjustalbe air spring systems that you can install. They mount on the frame and over the axle, made by Air Lift and Firestone. Kits run from $90 to $300. There is also a Rancho who makes a "Add-A-Left" and "Lev-A-Load" I am sure if you try a internet search you will come accross there home pages. My buddy has the airbag system and no complants yet.
Hope this helps.
