Question camshafts

I'm looking at rebuilding my motor and I would like to put in a performance cam. However I don't completely understand the specs that cams are given with lift, duration, ext. Can anyone here give me a breif runthrough of what means what with camshaft?

Give Comp Cams a call at 1 800 999-0853. This is the number for the cam help line. They will give you good advice on which cam to use and explain anything you would like to know. They are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I have to agree with mako, I would call Comp Cams, they have a excellent cam help line and their reputation on the cams they build is very good. This is your easiest way to decide which cam to use with your combination.

The link that you gave Mike, gives alot of information for those wishing to learn!
