ok, lets talk big block fords for a min., one family is the 385 series, and the other is the FE. ok so you have 2 different bellhousings. tell me if i'm right here.
the front side of the BH (engine side) is different for each family. but the back side of the BH (tranny side) is the same for both the 385 series and the FE's. i have bought an NV4500 for a race horse deal sight unseen hoping like crazy i can get it to work or can at least sell it for what i have in it, i dont have the tranny yet so i dont know if it is HD, 4x4 or 2x4, all i know is it IS out of a dodge. i will be trying to mate it to a 390 sometime in the near future. thank you
i may be off the wall here but i have heard that the only difference in the trans side is weather the bolts go thru from the front of the bell or from the back,bob
i know bob, but i wanted confirmation from another user or two b4 i went making big plans and buying up parts (that arent to cheap). just to find out i need different stuff, know what i mean??
